Philippines.fin..avi

I want to focus on modes of transportation here. We rode at least 8 different types of machines that transport you from point A to point B (or in some instances, C and D). However, even with so many modes of transport, they all had the common variable of limited space and becoming quite personal with local strangers. The tricycle was definitely one of the more unique makeshift machines, while the Jeepie (it's an elongated bus with 2 benches in the back for passengers) was straight from the land of hippies. Straddling Jason, who himself was stradling the driver was another "fun" experience, while the plane ride home with screaming babies was appreciated as well. Only when we rented our motorbikes did we enjoy the comfort of space and freedom from hot sweaty Philippinos, a day I'll always remember. It reminds me of how nice it is to not have a car....unless you're at Samford. ><>
